This movie by the extraordinary Bo-You Niou was an exciting opportunity to push writing for small string ensemble to an eerie unsettling place. A death row warden, who has emotionally distanced himself from the prisoners whose executions he oversees, bonds with an inmate when the burden of his duties become too heavy for him to bear.
